gnome-sharp2-examples software package provides sample applications for GNOME# 2.24, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-sharp2-examples
gnome-sharp2-examples is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-sharp2-examples package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-sharp2-examples *
You will get with gnome-sharp2-examples package name, version, architecture and description in a table
